Current law provides for the issuance of a Colorado professional
fire fighters license plate and sets standards for organizations that may qualify applicants to be issued the license plate. One of the qualifications is that the organization has been in existence for at least 20 years. The bill lowers this requirement to at least 15 years.
Current law also requires that the organization have at least 3,000
members residing in Colorado. The bill specifies the evidence an organization is to submit to demonstrate compliance with this provision.
